RockSalt Subsea is proud to announce the successful completion of three key phases in the reactivation of the Safe Caledonia (PSC), located in Scapa Flow, on behalf of our client, Prosafe.
The work involved, Ship side valve replacement program working close with the topside installation teams, UWILD survey etc and a relatively large cofferdam including installation, de-watering and removal. During our tenure the team also supported the topside activities, lifeboat stay wire replacement, crew movements and welding program using both our vessels.
This project showcased the strength and versatility of our diving equipment and support assets. Phase one was delivered using one of our containerised IMCA compliant dive systems, providing a flexible and efficient solution for initial operations, mobilised in a short period.
Phases two and three saw the mobilisation of our small dive vessel M/V Equinox, along with a Fast Rescue Craft (FRC) and a Diver Decompression Chamber (DDC) located both on the PSC and onshore – enabling us to maintain high safety standards and operational capability throughout the campaign.
The seamless integration of our systems and the professionalism of our dive teams were key to the safe and successful delivery of this project – outstanding work by all involved!
We thank Prosafe for their continued trust and look forward to further collaboration.
