From our headquarters in Aberdeenshire to our operational bases in Newcastle and Cork, RockSalt Subsea’s growing regional presence strengthens our ability to deliver specialist commercial diving and ROV services across the UK, Ireland and overseas.
Since establishing RockSalt Subsea in 2016, we have continued to grow our capabilities, our team and our operational reach, while remaining focused on what matters most: keeping vessel assets safe, compliant and operational.
Today, our three locations across Scotland, England and Ireland provide a strong operational network supporting our work throughout the UK and overseas.
Aberdeenshire: Where it all began
From the outset, our ambition was to build a specialist subsea business that combined technical expertise, industry-accredited diving professionals and a responsive approach to project delivery.
Our Aberdeenshire headquarters remains at the heart of the business, supporting our growing team, equipment and operational capabilities. From here, we coordinate specialist commercial diving, Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), engineering and technical authority services across a wide range of marine and offshore environments.
Our Insch facility also houses a Therapeutic Dive Decompression Chamber (DDC), providing immediate access to emergency treatment and diver support when required. This dedicated facility further strengthens our commitment to diver safety and supports the safe delivery of commercial diving operations.
Over the years, this foundation has enabled RockSalt Subsea to develop into an experienced subsea partner, supporting clients across the oil and gas, renewable energy and marine sectors.
Newcastle: Strengthening our reach across England
As RockSalt Subsea continued to grow, expanding our operational footprint became a natural next step. In 2020, we opened our Newcastle operational base, strengthening our presence in the North East of England and creating an additional location from which we can support clients and mobilise personnel and equipment.
The Newcastle base gives our team a strategic presence closer to many of the marine and offshore operations taking place along the east coast of England. It also strengthens our ability to respond efficiently to projects across the UK, while complementing the resources and expertise available from our Aberdeenshire headquarters.
With our operational network extending beyond Scotland, RockSalt Subsea is better positioned to provide the responsive support our clients need, whether planning a scheduled campaign or responding to an urgent operational requirement.
Cork: Expanding our operational network into Ireland
In 2025, RockSalt Subsea took another significant step in its growth journey with the opening of our operational base in Cork, Ireland. The Cork base extends our regional reach and strengthens our ability to support clients across Ireland, providing access to RockSalt Subsea’s specialist commercial diving and ROV services.
For us, expansion is not simply about having more locations. It is about being closer to our clients, improving our ability to mobilise resources and creating a stronger operational network from which to deliver specialist subsea services.
Cork therefore represents an important milestone for RockSalt Subsea, building on the foundations established in Aberdeenshire and strengthened through our expansion into Newcastle.

While our bases are geographically distinct, our approach remains consistent. From Aberdeenshire, Newcastle and Cork, RockSalt Subsea brings together specialist diving expertise, ROV technical capability and practical project experience to support clients across inshore, offshore and nearshore environments.
Our services include commercial diving and ROV operations, inspection, repair and maintenance, construction and installation, nearshore and marine support, project management, engineering and technical authority services.
Our growing regional presence also supports our ability to work internationally. While our bases provide a strong operational footprint across Scotland, England and Ireland, our experience and capabilities extend well beyond these locations, with RockSalt Subsea successfully delivering projects across the UK and overseas.
